BREWERS
Brewer Refurbishment
Refurbishment is often a cost effective
way of extending the life of a brewer unit.
Becktech have developed considerable
experience over the years, refurbishing the
VendKing King brewer, the de Jong UNI-
brewer and the VendKing Zuma brewers.
In each case a certain amount of work is done as
standard:

Units are stripped and then go through both
manual and ultrasonic cleaning processes to
ensure that they are thoroughly prepared.
n
For each model the cylinder is replaced with a
new one, and relevant seals are replaced (piston
seal and teflon skirt in the case of the King and
UNI -brewers; cylinder plug, piston seal and
Teflon seal in the case of the Zuma brewer).

Any bare metal is “sealed” with food grade
lubricant. The reason for this is that re-powder
coating units makes the refurbishment too
costly, and in our experience any other form of
painting is at best short-lived, and at worst a
potential contaminant in dispensed drinks.

Units are then re-assembled and undergo a full
functional test before being returned with a
6-month warranty from Becktech.
Note: where additional parts are required to
complete a refurbishment, these fall outside of the
standard charge and will therefore only be fitted
after discussion with customers. We will advise if
we think a unit is beyond economic refurbishment.
All refurbished brewers carry a full 6 month
warranty.
