HOW IT WORKS The smart memory-alloy actuator spring is responsive to temperature; when there is no hot water (the boiler outlet valve is closed) the bias spring keeps the cold water path closed too. As hot water is added and the blended water warms up to the threshold temperature of the spring, the valve is opened and the blended water is allowed to flow to the mixing station.
